About this song

When you meet an elf that is in cahoots with the Orcish horde, bad things happen

Lyrics

(Verse 1)
She came with a smile and a silver tongue,
Said she walked beside us, said she was the one,
But the bow she held was forged in an orcish flame—
And when we were on the move, they knew we were coming - We ran into an ambush that will be sung about for ages.
(Pre-Chorus)
Sixty-five fell screaming to the stone,
Green blood running rivers, bone on broken bone,
And Fred — FRED — kept shouting "Can't we talk?!"
While axes split the air where words could never walk.
(Chorus)
BURN IT DOWN! BRING THE MOUNTAIN LOW!
Cave it in and let the fireball BLOW!
What could possibly go wrong inside a sealed-up tomb?
Just a sorcerer, some rubble, and a ROOM FULL OF BOOM!
(Verse 2)
She was in my grasp, that traitorous elf,
One more strike and she'd have met the shelf
Where the gods keep traitors and the oath-forsaken dead—
But a half-orc witch tore her away instead.
Healed her wounds while I stood cursing fate,
Resurrection prayers for the friends who weren't so late,
Brothers fallen, sisters brought back from the black—
The gods gave us a boon and we are NOT giving it back!
(Chorus)
BURN IT DOWN! BRING THE MOUNTAIN LOW!
Cave it in and let the fireball BLOW!
What could possibly go wrong when the ceiling starts to crack?
Just a party full of idiots who always circle back!
(Bridge — spoken/growled)
Fred says: "Perhaps we could negotiate?"
The orcs say: We would rather die.
The swordmaster agrees to their terms!
Fred says: "I really think diplomacy—"
The sorcerer says: "FIREBALL."
(Final Chorus)
BURN IT DOWN! THE GODS ARE ON OUR SIDE!
Sixty-five orcs slaughtered, one elf denied!
What could possibly go wrong? EVERYTHING. AND YET WE RIDE!
Through the cavern, through the fire — WE SURVIVED!
